Against this, the contract value for Siemens Ltd. India is Rs 5.3 billion (Rs 530 Crore)
In the first quarter, as earlier announced, Siemens had signed two contracts of Rs 26 billion with the Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa). Now with this third order, the consolidated value of the orders to be executed by Siemens is Rs 32.4 billion (Rs 3,240 Crore) of which the total contract value for Siemens Ltd. India is Rs. 28.3 billion (Rs 2,830 Crore)
A consortium of Siemens Ltd, India and Siemens AG, Germany has bagged a repeat order of Rs 6.4 billion from Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) for the development of the Power Transmission network in and around the capital city, Doha in Qatar. This new order is in addition to earlier two orders amounting to Rs 26 billion that were bagged by the consortium of Siemens and announced in the first quarter of 05-06. The total contracts value is Rs 32.4 billion and all the three orders will be executed within a period of 19 months.
The scope of work for the new order includes setting up of five sub-stations of 220/132/66kV. Siemens Ltd. will execute the majority of the order with value amounting to Rs 5.3 billion.
