SIESER stands for SIEMENS Sequence of Event Recorder. SIESER records the events occurring in the power plants in chronological order with 1 millisecond time stamping and 1 millisecond resolution. It provides user friendly, interactive displays for rapid fault analysis and evaluation. It is a flexible and modular system consisting of a Front-end unit and a Host computer. The host computer is based upon the latest and universal hardware platform to ensure high performance and flexibility. The Front-end is modular in design, consisting of a CPU for high throughput data scanning and input modules for interfacing with field inputs.
