Airport Operation Database (AODB) is the central database containing basic and operational data.  Data needed by the operation staff which doesn’t undergo frequent change is referred to as the Basic Data. E.g, Airport Codes, Airline Codes, Aircraft Types etc. Whereas data that is updated as part of the airport's operations is called the operational data. E.g Flight Schedules, Resource Utilization etc.

Flight Information Display System (FIDS) disseminates flight information, retrieved from the AODB, on LCD displays placed at various locations in the airport. These screens located at key positions provide passengers & operators with information relevant and specific to location. The data shown on the displays would always be  consistent and accurate since it is taken from the AODB. 

Location Management System (LMS) enables allocation of resources at various locations of the airport such as gates, baggage belts, parking stands, check-in counters etc. Based on the flight schedule, the system would automatically allocate resources to flights. This allocation may be viewed in a gantt chart view and then manually updated if necessary. 

Common Use Terminal Equipment (CUTE ) is a system, which allows flexible and efficient sharing of check-in desks and boarding gates. Access rights are managed and parameterized at the configuration server level, making the whole system perfectly secure.  

Web Sphere Process Server (WPS): At the core of the WPS base technology is the Service Component Architecture (SCA), Business Object framework, and Common Event Infrastructure (CEI). SCA defines a simple unified client programming model besides tabulating how services can be composed together to form a solution. Business Object framework is a unified framework for modeling business data. CEI  is a model for logging business events that can be used for auditing, monitoring activities.
