In line with the focus area of “promotion of science and technical education” and to support the National Skills Development policy of the Government of India, Siemens intends to support the upgradation of government Industrial Training Institutes (ITI). The project is being rolled out with the support from Confederation of Indian Industry.
The ITI upgradation has two focused interventions:
The intervention aims at providing the ITI Faculties adequate knowledge and hands-on practice on various modern technologies such as computer numerical controls, industrial automation, low-voltage switchgear and industrial drives. Siemens has rolled out the ITI Faculty Development programs at various locations across India
Siemens has been supporting the upgradation of government ITIs in a phased manner. The ITI upgradation entails supporting the existing Institute Managing Committee (IMC) and the staff of the ITI to meet the objectives set at the time of formation of the IMC.
By leveraging the competencies of Siemens employees and resources for ITI upgradation, we contribute to the education and employability development of communities.
